Johnny’s Reenlistment

I’m pretty sure Mark survived 5 Chicago winters with little more than flannel to keep him warm. I know he had a swim team long coat as well, but flannel ruled the roost. Here is Mark on Wheaton campus, circa 1992, flyin the flannel.
After Addy and Ella Coleman where born, my back went out and I needed help with the girls. Mark and Sarah came over every Wednesday for a few hours and loved on them. Addy was a little frightened at first of this big booming man, but over time she warmed up to him. Here in this clip, after a recent trip to Afghanistan, he came over with his big beard. Beard and all, they knew who this was! That’s Addy on his lap. Thank you Uncle Mark xoxoxoxo - Margy Coleman
Last fall when I e-mailed Mark that my wife and I were beginning the process of adopting, Mark sent me the following e-mail
Ben,
That’s awsome news!
I’ll have to call ya’ so you get the whole scoop, but suffice it to say that it was a terrific experience. We love Cora so much, and she is cooler than anything that we could have produed on our own. Brown is so much more interesting than pasty-pale.
Here are pics.
